Outpatient Services

In addition to serving as an acute care hospital, Knapp Medical Center offers a wide variety of services at its outpatient center on the first floor of the hospital. The Outpatient Center at Knapp features state-of-the-art equipment and expert hospital staff.

Outpatient Hours

The Outpatient Services entrance is located on the east side of the hospital off of James Street at 7th Street in Weslaco (color-coded yellow entrance), and is open the following hours:

7 a.m. – 4 p.m., Monday through Friday

Outpatient Scheduling

Your doctor’s office may give you a written schedule after they make an appointment for you. This schedule may include:

Date, time, and location within the hospital
Procedure to be performed
Preparations or special instructions for you to follow before your appointment

Patients can pre-register for any type of service, including laboratory, imaging, and day surgery. Pre-registration can be done in Outpatient Registration from 8 am to 4 pm on weekdays.

Outpatient Registration

For outpatient services, it is recommended that patients arrive 30 minutes prior to their scheduled appointment. Please bring the following:

Physician’s orders
Picture ID
Social Security Number
Insurance card
List of all medications
Address
Phone numbers
