The Clinic is now open in a new location in the Knapp Medical Arts Building, 1315 E. 6th St, Suite 6, Weslaco, TX 78596 (Office Number: 956-565-2727 / Fax: 956-351-5786). At The Clinic, patients can receive care for a wide variety of conditions, including management of diabetes management, high blood pressure, asthma, COPD, and many more.

The Clinic also places a strong emphasis on preventative medicine, learning to eat healthily, and pursuing a healthier lifestyle. At The Clinic, we are committed to working with you to improve your health.

The Clinic treats adults, geriatric patients, and adolescents, and is a service of the Knapp Medical Group. The Clinic is open Monday through Friday.

Dr. Natarajan Venkatayan, MD, is the Family Medicine Residency Program Director at Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco, Texas. Board-certified in Family Medicine, he brings over 30 years of experience across clinical practice, academic medicine, and graduate medical education leadership.

Throughout his career, Dr. Venkatayan has successfully directed multiple residency programs in Texas and California, guiding them through accreditation, curriculum development, faculty training, and resident mentorship. He has held academic appointments with the University of Houston and Texas A&M University, where he taught, supervised, and advised medical students and residents while contributing to program growth and innovation.

In addition to his leadership in medical education, Dr. Venkatayan has published peer-reviewed research in otolaryngology and family medicine and presented scholarly work at academic conferences. He remains actively involved in patient care, ensuring his clinical practice reflects the highest standards of family medicine.

Passionate about service, he has volunteered at community health fairs, free clinics, and mentorship programs, helping expand access to care while supporting the development of future physicians. Recognized for his dedication, Dr. Venkatayan continues to advance medical education, strengthen residency training, and promote compassionate, patient-centered care.
